Stephen
Stephen Hartley is a long-time wine aficionado. At an early age, his father began educating him on the finer points of wine. And growing up in the Tri-Cities, there was quite a bit of wine around to savor. “I’ve always enjoyed trying various wines to experience the combination of different flavors that each offers,” he states. “Each bottle brings new sensations to the palate. That’s what I love about wine.”
Living in the heart of Washington’s wine country, Stephen finds our regional wine culture a familiar and fun atmosphere. You’ll enjoy his articles and vid-casts from various wineries as he travels around, detailing the flavors, and commenting on the overall wine experience. He does admit to having a soft spot for Washington wines, commenting that his palate finds that our local wines are strong competitors against the traditional national leader, California.
When he isn’t out and about savoring the fruits of the local wineries, Stephen can be found in class at Columbia Basin College, where he’s working toward his AA.
