Veronica Salazar was born in Harlingen, Texas and spent most of her childhood in the New Braunfels, Texas area, then moved back to Harlingen at the age of 16.  Veronica moved to the Tri-Cities area in July 2008 after being told that she would really love the people, the scenery and she could have a place to stay until she got on her feet.  She had always wanted to move to the West Coast, so this was the perfect opportunity.  Veronica is currently co-owner of BillaBillz, L.L.C. out of Kennewick, WA.

Veronica has never been a wine drinker, but a spark of interest has emerged for her education in wine since moving to Washington.  She has recently been attending wine events and even started testing out several different wines to train her palate on the intense flavors of Washington and California wines.  Veronica says, “The overall wine experience has been pretty interesting.  I’m still an amateur.  Everyone has been so nice in teaching me the basics on wine tasting.  I’m having a lot of fun with it.  I wish that I had started drinking wine years ago.”

Several interests that Veronica has outside of her business and writing are exercising, outdoor activities and hanging out with her daughter, her friends and her two dogs, Lito and Chico.
